Fiona is one of Australia’s leading stakeholder engagement and public participation practitioners, with deep experience gained over 25 years in planning and communications. Fiona has held executive management positions in major corporates and the public sector. With science and planning qualifications, she has played a central role in critical infrastructure projects, leading teams working across complex issues. Understanding how to balance competing interests, she can facilitate a way forward in contested environments.

Fiona was previously Manager Project Communication at Leighton Contractors and eight years as GM Infrastructure Communication at NSW Roads and Maritime Service. Having advised senior executive and government officials, Fiona appreciates parliamentary and government process.

High profile projects include Sydney Metro, the Pacific Highway Upgrade; communication management of the Sydney motorway network; major upgrades to the M2 and M5; Lucas Heights.

She has trained hundreds of project managers with high approval and guest lectured at universities. She understands digital tools and customer focused websites having established the NSW Government’s first Digital Panel. Fiona and colleagues set about establishing IAP2 in Australia in 1996.
