David Reeves is a political and public affairs specialist with more than a decade of experience working across complex funding, regulatory and policy issues. His experience as a shadow ministerial/ministerial adviser and government relations consultant provides an in-depth, first hand grasp of the intersection between the private sector and government.

Prior to joining Newgate, David managed government relations, public affairs and policy for a leading Australian university, as well as worked for a number of bipartisan public affairs consultancies. Experienced across a range of policy and portfolio areas, he holds particular expertise in education, trade and industry matters.

In addition to advising senior parliamentarians, David has worked in state and federal political campaigns, including in policy, digital communications, and electorate strategy.

David holds Honours and Masters degrees from the Australian National University.
