Bruce is a highly respected and extremely well-connected public and government affair’s professional with extensive political, policy and media experience. He has been deeply involved with public policy issues across complex industry sectors including resources, energy, infrastructure, science and innovation.

Prior to joining Newgate, Bruce was Head of Media and Government Relations at Western Australia’s Water Corporation. Prior to that Bruce was Manager of Public Affairs at the Chamber of Minerals and Energy of Western Australia, where he developed a pragmatic, rational in-depth knowledge of the state’s resources sector.

Bruce has served in senior advisory roles to Western Australian Premiers, Federal and State Government Ministers. He has highly developed knowledge of political processes including effective campaigning, advocacy, strategic engagement and policy formation.

With a strong background in advising executive leadership on media and issues management, crisis communications and stakeholder engagement, Bruce is committed to protecting brand and reputations whilst achieving sensible outcomes.
