​​Brendan Byron is a strategic communications and government relations adviser experienced in helping decision-makers navigate complex policy, legislative and reputational issues. With over a decade of experience working inside politics and government, he combines an understanding of government and parliamentary processes with expertise in campaign communications.

With his experience working across both State and Federal jurisdictions, Brendan has a wealth of knowledge in how decisions get made and how clients can be sure their voices are heard by government. Brendan has a track record of leading teams and campaigns, delivering major events, and working on complex policy and political issues, all while developing collaborative relationships built on trust and respect. He is skilled at distilling information, identifying political and communications risk, and developing strategies that advance organisational objectives.

Prior to joining SEC Newgate, Brendan worked in senior campaign, communication, and policy roles for both a Federal Parliamentarian and the office of a New South Wales State Minister. He studied a Bachelor of Media at the University of New South Wales, majoring in Journalism and Communications.​
