Harriet joined Newgate Research in 2018 as a Research Executive and provides support on project management, fieldwork, analysis and reporting.
Prior to joining Newgate, she worked for the Lowy Institute as a Research Associate in the Pacific Program. Most recently she worked with CARE International in Vanuatu as the Support Officer for the Gender Equality Program, through the Australian Volunteers for International Development program. She has also worked as a Research Assistant and Academic Tutor at the University of Queensland.
Harriet holds a Master of International Studies from the University of Queensland with a major research focus on gender and security in the Pacific Islands. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in International Relations and Peace and Conflict Studies, she completed an exchange semester at McGill University in Montreal.
